Last night Shwayze & Cisco had a blast on FUEL TV’s Daily Habit with Pauly Shore, Chris Bauer from True Blood, and Ashley Rickards from the MTV show Awkward. This morning they made an appearance on KTLA for an interview, and rocked out with their title track from Island In the Sun.
Cisco is stoked to play with his band – Cisco Adler & The Pigeons – this Saturday, September 3rd at Playground Fest. Get your tickets if you're in the area!

For this week’s Island Wednesday Cisco’s got something special. He has some friends over at about.me and they just told him about this dope contest to get your face on a billboard in Times Square!
If you haven’t heard of about.me, it was created as a way to bring all of your online profiles like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube to just one place. Check out Cisco’s profile and then make your own so you can enter. The contest just kicked off, and goes until Tuesday, 9/20
HOW TO ENTER:
All you have to do is create an about.me profile page. Put up a picture, your name, a few words about yourself, and as many links to your Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and other sites as you want. Make sure to add "Bananabeater" to the headline or bio to qualify for a special prize pack from Bananabeat Records, New Era, and Oakley.
Once your profile is up and running, click the 'Opt-in Now' button in the top right corner of your profile. Then promote your page to your friends so they vote for you. All they need to do is go to your profile page and click vote (everyone gets one vote per profile per day).
There will be ten winners. All ten will get their about.me profile on a billboard in Times Square (the billboard will rotate through the ten profiles).
The top three winners will also get a free trip to NYC (you even get to bring a friend) for a VIP party to celebrate and check out the billboard under the city lights. The billboard will be revealed in Times Square on 10/1 and the trip to NYC will be in early October (date to be confirmed).

They all get you the digital album on the day the album is released, but you'll also get Drunk Off Your Love (feat Sky Blu of LMFAO) and The W's EP as soon as you order. If you get the Premium package, you'll also get one of the first Bananabeat x New Era 9FIFTY hats and some stickers. August 11, 2011 – Summer is in full swing, and Shwayze & Cisco Adler’s new video for “You Could Be My Girl” delivers everything we need to celebrate – bikinis, beaches, cold beer and a mellow island breeze.
“It’s California to the max – hot chicks and cool brews,” says Cisco of the video, which premiers today on Vevo [click here to watch]. “It’s a day in the life as we return to Malibu and hit the beach to get the word out. It’s just us being us. The video was shot by Talkboy TV, and they did an amazing job creating the perfect visual for this beach party jam.”
The song is the first video from the band’s upcoming release Island In The Sun, due out September 13 on Adler’s own Bananabeat Records, with distribution by The Orchard. "You Could Be My Girl" – packaged together with the album’s title track as a b-side – is available now (see links below). “Drunk Off Your Love” – the album’s second single – will be available digitally beginning August 16, and features Sky Blu of LMFAO. Shwayze & Cisco are hitting up the Northeast this week with Slightly Stoopid and Rebelution on Seedless Summer Tour. They’ll be rocking out at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ tonight! The guys said that the tour has been a blast so far.

Summer has been flying by over at Bananabeat Records. Shwayze & Cisco are currently on the Seedless Summer Tour with Slightly Stoopid and Rebelution. The guys said that every show so far has been tons of fun and everyone is digging the new material.

Los Angeles, CA – Cult riders Dakota Roche and Chase Hawk arrived at X Games 17 ready to ride. Roche and Hawk competed in the BMX Freestyle Street and BMX Freestyle Park disciplines, taking home the rights to third and fourth place, respectively.
Dakota Roche’s riding earned him his second X Games medal, having taken home the first earlier this year at X Games Asia. During his first run in the final heat, Roche had a hard fall that led him to land chest-first on the corner of a concrete ledge and knocked him to the ground for an anxious few moments. Friends, family, and spectators could not have been more excited to see Roche resume his place in the line-up and continue to showcase progressive tricks with signature laid-back style.
"It is amazing to be able to ride and compete with the best and have all my family and friends watching,” says Roche. “I grew up in Huntington Beach, so this has a good hometown feeling. Coming back from that crash and placing was huge for me. I couldn’t be more stoked."
Chase Hawk competed in a handful of highly competitive heats before qualifying for BMX Freestyle Park finals, but Hawk made himself a strong contender early on with huge transfers and a stylish bag of tricks that he used to tackle each element of the diverse course.
Intense afternoon sun introduced itself as a factor during round one elimination on Saturday, and competitors began trading off ‘easy’ runs with the real ones in order to conserve energy. At the end of the day, it was riders Dhers, Enarson, and Cranmer that won the medals, with Hawk coming in at 4th.
“I’m so excited for Dakota and Chase. They put everything they had into riding this week and they absolutely killed it. They really made the Cult Crew proud.” says Robbie Morales, founder of Cult.
