Burlington, VT – April 1st marked Rough Francis’ return to the Burlington music scene, headlining a secret show at Radio Bean with support from Husbands AKA and Disconnect. By the time the band hit the stage, Radio Bean was packed as the audience anxiously anticipated the band’s first live performance in Burlington since hitting the studio this winter.
Rough Francis totally delivered, putting on a supercharged, high energy performance, almost topping the amped-up act that they are known for. The band rocked classics from their debut, Introducing… Rough Francis, a few Death covers, and even introduced some new material from their upcoming release, expected this summer. The crowd was all-in, and the intensity continued to rise until, ultimately, an extra-animated fan crashed into the drums, wrapping up one of Rough Francis’ most powerful performances to date.
Rough Francis continues to tour, moving on to play Precinct in Boston with Darker Hues and Nervous on April 29th, returning to Burlington to play Nectar’s along with Darker Hues and Spirit Animal on Saturday, April 30th. Malibu, CA- Cisco Adler, singer, songwriter, producer and co-founder of Bananabeat Records, is back with new music and a new band, Cisco Adler & The Pigeons. The group is releasing their latest effort alongside their South by Southwest debut.
February’s Snowball Run Tour, presented by Continental Tires and Oakley, marked Cisco Adler & The Pigeons’ first official tour as a band. Recognizing their undeniable live chemistry, the affable frontman and his fellow Pigeons,Mark Goodfeather and Bon Tweedle, decided to hit the studio. The record demonstrates Adler’s versatility as a musician as it showcases a variety of hip hop beats, echoes of sixties lounge-rock, and even a hint of soul. This all somehow strangely results in a new version of Americana.
“No matter what I’m doing or who I’m working with, I’m always writing new music and Cisco Adler & The Pigeons gives me the perfect outlet for all of that solo material. I’ve been producing and collaborating with so many other artists lately that it feels great to finally channel all of that work into my own thing,” said Cisco Adler.
The trio will continue their succession of live performances in Austin, Texas at one of the country’s biggest annual music festivals, South by Southwest. The group will play at Rusty Spurs on Wednesday as part of the Fourth Annual AUSTINROX Party and again on Thursday at the Cedar Door for the BMI Showcase.
Bananabeat Records' premier artist, Chris Young The Rapper, recently collaborated with singer Rossy to form the duo 'Vibe'. “The overwhelming support and encouragement that came out of that viral release really motivated me to dedicate myself to a career rapping,” said Young.
In preparation for Chris Young The Rapper’s latest release, “Value Pack 2: Cream & Sugar,” the duo decided to hit the studio and revamp the recording and video for “Touch the Stars.” Check out the official video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqDV01blRNs and look for Value Pack 2, available April 1. Malibu, CA- The California alternative hip hop duo of Shwayze and Cisco Adler is back! The dudes who shot to the top of the pop charts while “Buzzin” on “Corona and Lime” are now singing about a special “Summertime Girl…” And she's hot as hell!
Fresh off the release of Shwayze and Cisco: The W's, the mini-album they gave out free via the internet and social networks, Shwayze and Cisco are headed into the studio to record their 3rd full length LP. The mixtape was downloaded 10,000 times in the first hour and shot to the top of the HypeMachine popular charts. The two plan to reclaim their throne as the black sheep of pop music… Equal parts Lennon and McCartney and Cheech and Chong: hopeless romantics with a heart and a hash pipe.
"'Summertime Girl' is an ode to summer love. Everyone has been there," Adler says, reporting live from Malibu, CA.
A video featuring LA fans and friends is set to be shot in March and the single will go to radio shortly after.
"We are headed into the studio to make our best album yet. This is gonna be the best summer ever," says Shwayze with an easy smile and a hint of sarcasm. But something tells me he isn't kidding. Stay tuned…
