DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION + JUSTICE

Companies, brands and organizations are meeting the need to develop and honor a platform for corporate social impact and responsibility. As a consulting agency for Burton Snowboards we outlined internal assessments, provided resources, and developed strategies that supported the outdoor brand in their mission to reinforce diversity, equity, inclusion and justice from within the Burton brand and into consumer-facing messaging, content, ambassadors and products.

Our work began with day-to-day consulting for senior executives, helping to navigate difficult conversations about race, gender, identity and equity. From there, we strengthened internal teams by developing a more solid framework for DEI+J in the workplace and in the Burton community. This included qualitative data reporting from individual employee interviews to identify and address recurring themes as part of a more inclusive workplace environment, an internal audit of a new ambassador and team rider strategy with a DEI+J lens for more diverse representation in the industry, facilitating introductions for strategic partnerships with a social justice and social impact focus, brand messaging development for consumer-facing language and assessment of company-wide anti-bias training programs.
